AH HAH!
I first found this pic on a random wallpaper website, ( [link] ) and just thought it a quite cute, and to me, a scene I could relate to...
Then I ran across something for the two characters, Kirito and Asuna, this past day, and thought, gee, those outfits and characters look awfully familiar to that one image I saw... and sure enough, when I compared it with that one on the wallpaper site, the resemblances were remarkable, so I figured, that MUST be them!

I decided to do a dA search under the names, and sure enough, I now find this.

I really do like this artwork; the characters are really well drawn, the lighting and scene is very awe inspiring, and holds a special and warm atmosphere, and I love the Medieval feel based on the castle in the background and their outfits. ^^

To me, these two, just somehow, personally, (even though I've never seen the anime nor no much about it. -_- ) strike in me similarities with myself, and someone I think about, who is special to me...^,^
Kirito and his outfit, sort of resemble what I think of, about my OC-Self character (see profile ID)...even though I have longer hair...and Asuna...I can't help but think she looks similar to that one special person in my life, that I care about, and even wears attire that seems fitting of this special person I know...^//^

Since I sadly don't know the series, though I'm really starting to want to find a way to see it, could you tell me what kind of mystical powers each of them have? I know they both have swords, but I've seen different images show different kinds of mystical/magical energies around their swords, so I'm inclined to believe they each have their own elemental powers as well.

First: Really beautiful work!

--

Now if, not having powers, rather use skills of the game "Sword Skill", the anime is good, but you need (recommend)to read the novel, is much better and is just beautiful.

PD: sorry for the bad use of English (Google traductor) Dx

Umm? Hello...random responder...*scratches head surprised*

Oh okay, "skill" versus "powers"...in any case, I didn't know due to not knowing enough about the series. I have even less chance of being able to read the novels (and I've heard some that say the opposite, that the anime is better )

No worries...I understood it...okay enough...^^;

Hi,
In the anime omitted many important things and situations ("rush :shakefist:"), better understand the characters in the novel, especially Asuna, greatly improves his character in the novel .

Hi.
Oh, I see...anime's sadly tend to do that, and rush or skip things. -_-
Thought the "light novel," in your justified opinion, is better than the Anime...
I think the Anime might be better than the "manga" (at least, maybe that is what I read/heard)...

The anime has its moments (I note especially the character designs, OST and music), especially the first part, and if it is definitely better than the manga (I do not like manga artwork) with you to read the first volume you will notice that the novel is better, I totally recommend it, not going to disappoint.
